If you don't like my peaches, don't shake my tree

Photobucket

These photos were taken about a week and a half ago when the sun was out for a good straight week, but recently, the weather has been adjusting to the Fall season. YAY! I've been waiting for the sun to say farewell so that I can start wearing all my cute fall/winter clothes and accessories. I'm not too fond of jeans so experimenting with sweater shorts, thigh high socks, boots and multiple layers to stay warm makes dressing up fun. Plus, slouchy knit sweaters?! I don't think I've ever been this anxious for fall.. The fact that we have amazing fall/winter trends this year definitely has a lot to do with my excitement. I can just imagine all the different types of outfits in my head..

Also, I'm sure you've all noticed. I decided to enlarge my photos :) The bigger the better, I always say!

Fashion week is coming to an end and above are by far my favorite looks from s/s 2012. Other designers, of course, had wonderful designs, but these in particular spoke to me. Layering in neutral tones, oversized pleated pants & skirts in vivid colors, color blocking in pastels, and amazing sheer gowns & rompers in black, white, and crazy prints. I'm definitely loving it all.

Shakuhachi, please

Photobucket
Shakuhachi bat wing romper, Shakuhachi cutout lace up heels

One of my favorite Australian brands.. Shakuhachi never fails to let me down. I absolutely love their clothes. This romper is probably the best romper I've ever put on. It's light, flowy, and the bat wing detail is gorgeous. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it online, but never got the chance to get my hands on one in my size. When my friend told me she bought it (thank goodness we're the same size), I had to borrow it. At first, I had a problem with the length because it is a tad bit short, but it's just too cute.

On a whole different note, tomorrow is September 16, which means it's me and my boyfriend's five year anniversary! It's still amazing how far we've come in this relationship. We have this whole weekend filled with fun spontaneous adventures, shopping, and of course, a nice dinner. I'm so excited and I can't wait :) What are your plans for this weekend?

"everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold.."

Photobucket

Two colors I will never get sick of: black and gold. I put together this outfit a few days ago to wear out, but it ended up being cloudy and windy. On the other hand, it was such a beautiful day today so I wore it out to run a few errands. I regret not wearing much more comfortable shoes, but these lace ups went so much better with the outfit.. it's a good thing I wasn't on my feet for more than two hours.

cable knit shorts

Photobucket
I recently purchased two cable knit shorts in taupe and rosy pink after eyeing them for a couple of months now. Last week, I was shopping around Studio City, walked in Free People and saw that the price had dropped for both colors, but they ran out of my size. One of the employees took the time to call other locations to see if they had my size and luckily one of the stores had a small in taupe and an xs in rosy pink so I bought both. Yesterday, I wore the pink one for the first time to work and I got compliments on them the whole day. Such a great addition to my closet :)

In with the new

Photobucket

It's been two weeks since my last post and since then, my closet has expanded. I apologize for the lack of posts, but with all the new purchases I've made.. outfit posts will be consistent as of now. Today, I wore this breezy outfit to go thrifting with my boyfriend. New floral kimono, new sheer maxi skirt, new Sessun heels, and of course, new hair :) This season it's out with the old, in with the new. Fall is just around the corner. However, summer is definitely not ready to say goodbye. I can honestly say it was burning hot outside, which explains why I decided to wear such light and sheer clothing. I'm not complaining though. I'm loving all this sunshine..
