black x nude

Neue scoopback sweater, H&M skirt, Buffalo Exchange lace up heels, H&M rosette clutch

Yesterday, I took these photos in two different locations. Hair up in the first location and hair down in the second. When I decided to wear this outfit, I figured hair up was the better choice because of the exaggerated scoopback. However, after two hours of having it tied up, my face, shoulders, and back started to get cold. In my opinion, hair up definitely looked better with the outfit. What do you think?

On a whole other note, I'll be creating an online shop of my closet to sell the clothes I no longer want and no longer wear so this week, stay tuned for that and also, be on the look out for an amazing giveaway :)

I took these photos a couple of days ago when I was having an amazing hair day :) I chose to wear this outfit to match my hair (pretty dress, pretty hair.. you know what I mean). We can all agree I'm dressed a bit scandalous. However, there's something satisfying about the illusion of showing too much skin without actually showing that much skin. I invested in nude bodysuits and bandeaus to go along with my obsession to crochet knits. A lot of my newest pieces of clothing are crochet knit dresses and this is one of the many few that are hanging in my closet. The knitted pattern and the fringe left at the seam sold me. It was mine the second I saw it hanging on the rack.

knitted shorts

Photobucket

When I first saw a pair of Stolen Girlfriends Club cable knit shorts online months ago, my mouth literally dropped. They were absolutely adorable and I've been dying for a pair, or two, but sadly, they've been sold out and out of stock. My eyes have been seeking for similar versions ever since, but I had no luck finding any until now. Other stores just recently started developing their own type of sweater shorts and skirts. They're not at all the same, but any shorts that are created hand knitted, or with knitted fabrics seemed to put a smile on my face. However, with fall just around the corner, I'm hoping Stolen Girlfriends Club will restock on their amazing cable knit shorts. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed all summer. For now, the shorts I'm wearing above is my new love <3

fishtail braids

Photobucket

I've always been fascinated with fishtail braids.. I was tired of the ordinary braid so when I learned how to do it months ago, it was my favorite way of wearing my hair. For a while I stopped because I started to notice how much I kept doing it. The photos above reminded me how much I loved it and inspired me to fishtail braid my hair for work today.

In my opinion, having it braided loose and messy is better.

the best things in life are.. cheap

Photobucket

I think it's obvious that I've been enjoying my summer. Delayed posts and days just flying right past me. It's probably a good idea to start bringing around the Canon 7D everywhere to share my summer adventures with all of you. On a whole other note, I wore this outfit a couple of days ago when my boyfriend and I went thrift store shopping. Thrift stores are addicting.. I seriously find the best things! I recently bought a chunky oversized cardigan for $2 and scored a perfect jean jacket for $4. The feeling I get when I score on awesome, cheap finds is pretty much the greatest thing ever.

let's get..

I finally got the eyeshadow palette I've been wanting for a while now. I'm not one to wear eyeshadow on a daily basis. To be quite honest, I hardly (almost never) do. However, when I feel the urge to apply some color on my lids, or impulsively spend a few bucks on individuals from MAC, I always choose neutrals amongst others. Urban Decay's "Naked" palette happened to have all the colors I would actually use in one place. Pretty brown velvet case with matte, shimmer, satin, and sparkle neutral colors? The concept of this palette is pure genius.
